Goal(s)

The purpose of this project is to engage students in learning Spanish through interactive games that provide an alternative to traditional methods. These games address the need for varied resources that make language learning fun, hands-on, and accessible to all learning styles.
The goals are to:
Increase student engagement and participation.
Strengthen vocabulary, comprehension and speaking skills.
Build confidence and fluency in a low-stress environment.
This project will help students retain language more effectively while enjoying the learning process.

Project Description

This project will bring interactive Spanish games into the classroom to give students fun, hands-on ways to practice language skills. Activities will include vocabulary and grammar games, listening and speaking challenges, and group activities that encourage collaboration. These games will be used as supplemental resources to reinforce lessons, support different learning styles, and increase student engagement.

By incorporating play into learning, students will stay motivated, build confidence in using Spanish, and strengthen their retention of new words and concepts. This project meet the needs of my students by providing meaningful, enjoyable practice opportunities, supports my classroom with flexible resources, and contributes to the school’s goal of fostering strong language learning. 

 

Expected Outcomes

Through this project, students will become more engaged in Spanish class and show greater confidence using the language. Their vocabulary, comprehension, and speaking skills will improve as they practice through games in a low-stress setting.
Outcomes will be measured by:
Increased participation and enthusiasm during class activities.
Improved performance on classwork, assessments, and oral activities.
Teacher observation of stronger recall and more frequent use of Spanish vocabulary and phrases.
Overall, students will retain language more effectively and develop a more positive attitude toward learning Spanish.
 

 

Purpose of Funding

The grant request is for Spanish Class. All supplies will be purchased through Seacrest's Amazon Prime Account. The purchases will be tax-exempt, and there will be no additional fees for shipping.
