This grant request seeks funding for two boxes of printer paper and four toner cartridges (color and black & white) to support weekly printed instructional materials for my classroom. These supplies will allow me to produce colorful, guided notes and visual aids for students 2–3 times per week. I regularly create these materials in PowerPoint for my students and display them step-by-step on the projector. However, by being able to print for everyone, I will enrich daily instruction and offer students consistent access to meaningful, structured content that they can annotate, reference, and review throughout the year.
School supplies - Markers, paints, paper, crayons, clay, pencils, sharpies, modeling dough, etc.
My students do not currently have access to a printed textbook or workbook. This lack of resources makes it difficult for them to engage with content outside of class or revisit complex topics independently. For many, digital access is also limited, meaning that online resources are not always a viable supplement. By providing printed, tangible materials, I can ensure that every student—regardless of their home resources—has access to clear explanations, graphic organizers, key vocabulary, and visual representations of abstract concepts.
Colorful printed notes are particularly impactful for visual learners and students who benefit from examples with diagrams and step-by-step breakdowns. These materials also serve as an anchor for class discussions and provide scaffolding for students who need extra support with note-taking or comprehension.
With the ability to print these enriched materials regularly, I expect an improvement in student engagement, retention, and independent learning. Students will have consistent access to clear models, organized notes, and visuals that deepen their conceptual understanding. Having these resources in hand also allows for better classroom interaction: students can highlight, annotate, and build on their notes, reinforcing active learning strategies.
Ultimately, this project ensures that no student is left behind due to a lack of access to quality instructional materials. The requested supplies may be modest, but their impact will be lasting—enabling me to create a more equitable, engaging, and visually rich learning environment for all my students.
I already own a color laser printer (Canon MF654cdw), so I am requesting paper and compatible toner to complete my task:
