The drive behind this proposal is to support beauty in the lives of our students. Since beauty can lead us to contemplate what is good and shine light on truth, it is worth giving it special attention as we build our school culture. The items and services in my proposal provide media for art students to work on long-term projects, and to organize their study of art history. Part of this proposal includes services we need in order to place art, especially high quality reproductions of master works, in the hallways of our school.
School supplies - Markers, paints, paper, crayons, clay, pencils, sharpies, modeling dough, etc.
### Project Activities
- Implement a sequence of long‑term studio projects using gouache, acrylics, impasto medium, gesso, illustration board, and Prismacolor pencils to develop technique, composition, and creative problem‑solving
- Produce bound art‑history workbooks to structure note‑taking, visual analysis, and reflection for 7th and 8th graders
- Curate and mount high‑quality reproductions of masterworks and student art, with unified signage, for semi‑permanent hallway displays and exhibition nights
- Coordinate with facilities to professionally hang artwork, including installing picture wire and D‑rings for safety and durability
- Provide a shared color printer workflow for reference images, substitute plans, and classroom visuals to support daily instruction[[1]](https://www.notion.so/Champions-for-Learning-Grant-Proposal-264ccff8cf538027a8d6d924877cb07d?pvs=21)
