The overall purpose of this project is to get cameras into the hands of students to enhance our school yearbook through student based ownership and collective experiences throughout the school year. We would like to allow students to have more of a "voice" when designing our school yearbook. Cameras would allow students to show LOE through their own eyes.

Project Description

Students on the Yearbook Leadership Team will use cameras throughout the school year to capture moments from their own point of view to help collectively create memories in our 2025-2026 yearbook. They will have the opportunity to place and caption their photography throughout the yearbook and will be showcased. They will be present at all school events, capture day to day activates, and show the year through the eyes of a student. Truly embracing the "Leader In Me" purpose.

Expected Outcomes

The overall outcome I am hoping for in this project is to produce a true representation of our school community at Laurel Oak. Student leadership is such an important aspect of our everyday lives here at LOE and putting cameras in the hands of students to capture what they truly see is a great way for everyone to feel seen and included. Our final measure of outcome will be our finished yearbook that will be published at the end of the school year.

Purpose of Funding

These three cameras will be for student use to capture images for our school yearbook.
