The project will provide instruments and movement materials that engage students in active music-making. Students will develop rhythmic accuracy coordination, and creative expression while building confidence and collaboration skills through music and movement.
Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.
K-5 students will use drums, sand blocks, scarves, ribbons, bean bags, a gong, chime tree and more to explore rhythm, melody, and expression through movement and ensenble playing. These resources will create inclusive, hands-on learning experiences that support multiple learning styles and benefit all 600 students at Bear Creek Elementary.
Students will become more engaged in music class by using instruments and movement materials. They will improve rhythm, coordination, and listening skills while building creativity and confidence through music-making. Teachers will see growth through student participation and performance activities.
Grant funding will be used to purchase movement and percussion materials. These materials will help K-5 students at Bear Creek Elementary explore rhythm, movement, and music-making in active and engaging ways. The resources will provide hands-on experiences that support creativity, collaboration,and learning for all students.
