Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.

Project Description

This project will provide a variety of different hands on math manipulatives that will be used to teach and guide learning in the classroom. Activities will include using bears or counters to solve addition equations, using manipulatives to act out real-world scenarios, and to encourage collaboration and discussion in the classroom. I am a strong believer that every student learns differently and by having visual aids and hands on learning manipulatives it can help me reach the needs of all of my learners.

Expected Outcomes

When implementing math manipulatives and visual aids into instruction students will become more engaged and confident when solving math. Students will be able to physically explore different concepts with the help of these manipulatives.

Purpose of Funding

These grant funds will be used to purchase several different math manipulatives, visual aids, and resources I can implement into math centers, lessons, and instruction. As a first year teacher these resources can help guide my instruction and build confidence, engagement, and excitement in my future math lessons.
