a) We are asking for this grant to encourage creativity and heighten our students' imaginations.
b) Through role play, children interact with one another which enhances their cognitive function.
Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.
a) With these tools, the children will be learning life skills, practicing their fine motor skill by dressing dolls and cooking (pouring tea, serving plates), gross motor by maneuvering ties and clothes onto themselves and friends, and improving social skills.
b) This will provide the students a grater opportunity to master these life skills.
a) This will help Pre-Kindergarten children improve not only socio-emotional skills, but this will also help with letter and word recognition, by way of labels on food items. The scenarios they will create through role play, will engage their critical thinking as well as imagination, allowing them to collaborate with their peers.
b) Throughout the year we learn about, and practice our core values, as well as how to be a good friend. This will give the teachers the opportunity to observe the children as they implement these morals into their social growth.
These grant funds will be used to supply both Pre-Kindergarten classrooms to create a cohesive and updated learning environment to improve social, physical, and academic skills through role play. All items will be purchased via amazon using the schools account. Purchases will be tax exempt and shipping fees will be waved.
