My goal is to provide access to a library to over 1,000 exciting learning song videos in the HeidiSongs catalog. This includes classic sing & spell, songs alphabet songs, phonics songs, math songs and over 175 sight words songs plus all of the printable downloads. This material will help engage and teach sight words and phonics skills in a musical and magical way.
Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.
I will use the year-long access to the music library to teach our critical Florida's BEST Language Arts Standards. Music is a great teacher and gets students of all abilities motivated and engaged. It is very helpful for second language learners as they can access the beat and the repetitive nature of the rhymes and rhythms. I will lead the students in dancing and singing while learning phonics and sight words skills with these excellent musical materials.
Students learn best when moving and engaging in active lessons. My class will be able to march and dance around the classroom and participate in these exciting learning songs. Music helps students learn and often can imprint ideas and words more easily than the spoken word. Think how often the words to a song get stuck in your head! That is the goal with these sight words and phonics songs. Using this music program will help students improve on their district assessments in letter-sound, phonemic awareness, math concept and sight words.
