a) The overall purpose of this project is to strengthen instruction for a diverse group of learners by adding a curriculum supplement that includes warm-ups, quizzes, scaffolding, and higher-order thinking tasks. This resource directly addresses the needs of English Language Learners who require structured supports, while also providing advanced students with rigorous, thought-provoking questions to deepen their learning. By doing so, the project ensures that all students are engaged at the appropriate level, closing learning gaps while also extending opportunities for enrichment.
b) The primary learning goal this project addresses is to improve student mastery of grade-level standards through differentiated support. For ELL students, the project supports language acquisition and access to content. For advanced students, it promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and higher-level reasoning. The academic outcome is that students will demonstrate stronger comprehension, higher achievement on assessments, and greater ability to apply skills in both scaffolded and advanced contexts.
Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.
a) This project will integrate a supplemental curriculum resource that provides daily warm-ups, formative quizzes, structured scaffolding strategies, and higher-order thinking opportunities. The materials are designed to strengthen instructional routines, support English Language Learners in developing both language and content mastery, and extend advanced 7th grade students through rigorous, critical-thinking tasks. Activities will be embedded into classroom instruction to activate prior knowledge, monitor progress, and foster deeper application of skills.
b) This project directly addresses the diverse needs of my students and school community by ensuring that instruction is both accessible and challenging. English Language Learners will benefit from intentional scaffolds that build vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence in tackling grade-level standards. Advanced students will be provided with extension questions and higher-level problem-solving opportunities that promote creativity, analysis, and reasoning beyond procedural learning. At the classroom and school level, this resource will strengthen equity, differentiation, and academic growth, ultimately helping all students move toward mastery while closing achievement gaps and elevating engagement.
a) Through this project, students will experience measurable growth in both content mastery and critical thinking skills. English Language Learners will show improvement in academic vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence when engaging with grade-level material, while advanced students will demonstrate stronger reasoning and problem-solving abilities through higher-order tasks. Overall, classroom engagement and equity will improve, as every student will have access to the supports or challenges they need to thrive.
b) Outcomes will be measured using a combination of formative and summative assessments, including unit quizzes, benchmark tests, and classroom performance tasks. For ELL students, progress will also be tracked through language proficiency assessments and observable increases in participation and accuracy. For advanced learners, outcomes will be measured by their ability to successfully complete higher-order questions, provide written explanations, and transfer skills to new contexts. In addition, teacher observation and student work samples will serve as evidence of growth across both groups.
Grant funds will be used to purchase a supplemental curriculum resource that provides daily warm-ups, quizzes, scaffolding strategies, and higher-order thinking extensions. These materials directly align with the submitted purchase request and are essential for addressing the diverse needs of my classroom. For English Language Learners, the resource offers structured supports that build vocabulary, comprehension, and access to grade-level content. For advanced 7th grade students, it includes rigorous, higher-order thinking questions that foster problem-solving and deeper analysis.
By funding this project, the grant ensures that students at all levels have the tools they need for success. The purchased materials will become an integral part of instruction, used daily to support equity, differentiation, and mastery of standards.
