My goal is to encourage and motivate students to complete their work to the best of their ability through random raffles. I also love rewarding students for positive behaviors as well as improving grades. This will allow students to be successful in their future math studies.
School-Wide, Grade-Level, Or Class Events/Programs - Parent Nights, Honor Roll Celebrations, EOY Events, PBIS, LIM, etc.
My students will have class raffles for prizes along with parties to celebrate their success. They will then have a more vested interest in our class and their learning. I will hold random drawings in my classroom. Students will receive tickets for:
-Standard Mastery
-Positive Behaviors
-Classroom interaction/participation
-Improving Grades
I have seen a huge benefit to continually rewarding my students. They’re excited to come to school and more specifically my class. They’re kinder to each other, and they feel seen for the work they put into our class. It truly encourages them to try harder and give their best efforts, knowing their labors will be rewarded.
Each item on the list will go in the treasure box for students to choose when their name is selected in the raffle.
