Purpose of Funding

Purpose of Funding

Grant funds will be used to purchase the Step Up to Writing curriculum package, including teacher editions, student resources, and digital components needed for full classroom implementation. These materials will equip teachers with structured lesson plans, graphic organizers, and student-friendly tools that support the writing process from sentences to multi-paragraph essays. The funding directly aligns with the submitted items to be purchased, ensuring that every 5th grade student has access to consistent, research-based writing instruction. By covering the cost of curriculum materials, this grant makes it possible to introduce a sustainable program that will serve not only the current class but also future cohorts of students for years to come.
