School supplies - Markers, paints, paper, crayons, clay, pencils, sharpies, modeling dough, etc.

Project Description

• Increase student engagement by providing diverse art materials that make projects more exciting and accessible.
• Support skill development in drawing, painting, and design.
• Encourage self-expression, cultural exploration, and creativity in a safe and supportive environment.
• Display completed artworks in school and community spaces to build pride and connection.
These materials will support lessons on the elements of art, cultural projects, and cross-curricular connections (e.g., integrating art with history, science, and SEL themes).

Expected Outcomes

All students will complete at least 5 major projects using varied materials.
Students will demonstrate growth in technique and expression in portfolio reviews.
Artwork will be displayed in school exhibits and local student showcases.
This grant will allow my students to feel like true artists. When they’re given quality materials, they rise to the occasion—engaging deeper, taking more risks, and proudly sharing their work. This project ensures every student has what they need to thrive artistically and academically.
Thank you, Champions for Learning, for helping us build a classroom where creativity leads to confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

Purpose of Funding

Many of the materials will be reusable or durable enough to support multiple years of instruction. Student work will be shared during school-wide showcases and community events, helping build student pride and parent engagement.
This project will directly benefit over 100 middle school students, providing them with the tools they need to participate fully in art class and expand their creative potential. Many of our students do not have access to quality art supplies outside of school, so this grant will ensure equity and opportunity for all learners. By having the necessary supplies, students will feel empowered to take creative risks, explore new techniques, and develop an appreciation for the arts that can last a lifetime.
