Goal(s)

Physical Education classes are an essential component of the Seacrest Country Day School educational experience. Healthy bodies and brains require a balance of physical and mental activity. This grant request is purposed to purchase sports equipment to provide various physically challenging games and activities to enhance the P.E. curriculum for students from Preschool through 5th Grade.

Project Description

The equipment will be used by the Seacrest Lower School students (Preschool through 5th Grade) during their thrice weekly P.E. classes. The equipment will support the physical education curriculum plans and developmentally appropriate P.E. goals for each grade level.

Expected Outcomes

These various P.E. items will provide Preschool through 5th Grade students with opportunities to get moving! Through active, physical movement, students will further develop gross motor skills, coordination, flexibility, strength, and balance. Additionally, students will engage in team-building experiences with peers that build collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Purpose of Funding

The items will be purchased by Seacrest through School Specialty via purchase order utilizing grant funds. The purchase will be tax-exempt.
