Goal(s)

The purpose of this grant is to provide students with engraving blanks so they can practice, design, and create products using the xTool laser. By supplying the necessary materials, students will be able to fully engage in hands-on learning, develop their skills, and be prepared to showcase and sell their creations during Marketplace Day.

Category

School supplies - Markers, paints, paper, crayons, clay, pencils, sharpies, modeling dough, etc.

Project Description

This grant will provide students with the essential blanks needed to bring their creative ideas to life. Working in teams, students design and produce a product that addresses a problem or need—for example, creating customized items or designing original artwork to engrave. Having access to these materials allows students to move beyond concept and design into actual production. This hands-on experience not only strengthens collaboration, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills, but also ensures they are fully prepared to market and sell their finished products during Marketplace Day.

Expected Outcomes

By providing engraving blanks, students will move from theoretical design to real-world application. Instead of only planning or practicing on limited materials, they will have the opportunity to fully produce, test, and refine their products. This access will improve the quality of their projects, increase creativity and innovation, and build confidence in their ability to create market-ready items. As a result, students will gain stronger problem-solving skills, teamwork experience, and entrepreneurial readiness—skills that extend beyond the classroom into future academic and career pathways.
