a) The purpose of this project is to provide students with the paper necessary for their art curriculum, ensuring they have quality surfaces for creating with multiple mediums. Without proper paper, students’ ability to explore paint, drawing, and mixed media projects is limited.
b) The project addresses the need for both construction paper and multimedia paper to support a wide range of lessons.
School supplies - Markers, paints, paper, crayons, clay, pencils, sharpies, modeling dough, etc.
a) Students will use multimedia paper for painting, sketching, and mixed media projects, while construction paper will be used for collage, design, and craft-based art. By having access to durable and appropriate paper, students can fully participate in projects that build skills in line, color, shape, texture, and composition.
b) This project supports equity by ensuring every student has the same opportunity to create high-quality work, regardless of access to materials outside of school.
Students will gain confidence and skill in using a variety of art materials, knowing their work has a sturdy, reliable surface to support it. Outcomes will be measured through completed student artwork, participation in art showcases, and overall improvement in creative problem-solving skills.
Funds will be used to purchase bulk supplies of paper in two formats to cover the needs of an entire school year. White, multimedia paper will be used for drawing, painting, and mixed media while construction paper will be used for collage, texture, and color theory for special projects.
