Project Description

The “Walking/Running with Purpose” Color Run is a student-led initiative designed to promote physical wellness, leadership, and community engagement among 3rd–5th graders. The project spans several weeks and culminates in a vibrant Color Run event where students, staff, and families come together to celebrate movement and giving back.

Activities Include:
Weekly walking/running sessions to build endurance and teamwork.
Leadership meetings where students help plan the event, design posters, and organize logistics.
A community outreach campaign to raise awareness and support for Fostering Success, the organization benefiting from the event.
The Color Run itself, featuring music, color powder, and student-led stations to cheer on participants and manage the event.

Inclusive participation: Every student has a role, whether running, cheering, organizing, or creating.
Positive behavior reinforcement: Promotes responsibility, kindness, and collaboration.
For the School:
Community building: Strengthens relationships among students, staff, families, and local supporters.
School spirit: Creates a joyful, memorable event that celebrates student achievement.
Service learning: Embeds civic responsibility into the school culture by supporting a meaningful cause.
