Project Description

Code Hs will meet the needs of our students with curriculum that covers foundational concepts while teaching students a process to move towards more advanced topics such as web design, java script, HTMS and CSS. This programs provides students with opportunities to learn foundational skills and knowledge in the field of computer science.  

 

Expected Outcomes

Using CodeHS will provide our students with computer science foundational concepts that move beyond simplistic coding. Students will be provided a more holistic understanding of computational thinking, problem-solving, and the broader applications of technology that they will apply to real life concepts and make learning more relevant. The outcomes will be measured utilizing assignments and progress tracking through collaborative group work, small group projects and assessments.  

 

Purpose of Funding

The grant funds will be used to pay for the CodeHS license to be used in technology class.
