Project Description

The project will provide classrooms with a set of replacement charging cords for student computers. These cords will remain available in the classroom for students who arrive with uncharged devices or who misplace their original cords. Teachers will organize the cords in a central, easy-to-access location, and students will be taught responsible use and return routines. By ensuring that technology remains available, the project directly supports daily classroom activities such as digital assignments, online assessments, and interactive learning experiences. 

 

Expected Outcomes

Students will experience fewer interruptions in their learning due to technology issues, leading to more consistent engagement with lessons and digital resources. Teachers will be able to plan and deliver instruction with confidence that devices are charged and ready. Improvements will be measured informally through teacher observation, noting reduced downtime caused by uncharged devices, as well as student feedback about their ability to stay on task. Additionally, the success of the project will be reflected in smoother classroom routines and increased student participation in technology-based activities. 

 

Purpose of Funding

The grant funds will be used to purchase a set of durable charging cords that are compatible with the new student computers. These cords will remain in the classroom as shared resources so students who forget, lose, or damage their original charger can still access a reliable power source during the school day. By funding these charging cords, the project ensures that computers are consistently available for instruction, digital assignments, and assessments. This purchase directly aligns with the submitted items requested, as each cord will serve as a practical solution to minimize downtime and maximize learning time. Having these extra cords in the classroom will reduce barriers to technology use and help all students fully engage with digital learning opportunities.
