The overall purpose of this project is to improve engagement and therapeutic outcomes for children receiving speech therapy. The project aims to increase access to high-quality speech therapy tools for students.
Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.
This project will allow students to interact with online games as well as board games to target individual needs of a student receiving speech language therapy services. Speech and language disorders affect approximately 1 in 12 children in the United States.
Student outcomes will improve because of the strategic use of targeted games or activities to align with the specific needs of the student. These outcomes will be measures through:
Pre- and post-intervention assessments with children
Game usage analytics (for digital tools)
The funds will be utilized to purchase the games, answer buzzers, flash cards, and online subscription for interactive games to strengthen articulation skill development. literacy skills through expressive and receptive communication, and pragmatics through turn taking and collaboration. his project aims to engage children in a fun, motivational format that supports articulation, fluency, vocabulary building, auditory processing, and pragmatic language skills. We are seeking $845.11 in funding to develop, pilot, and distribute a suite of digital and physical speech therapy games tailored to the needs of children with speech and language delays.
