Project Description

a) Describe the project and its activities:
This project seeks funding for a poster-making printer to be used in a high school entrepreneurship class. Students will use the printer to design and produce large-format posters for marketing campaigns, product promotions, business pitch presentations, and school-wide showcases. Activities will include branding exercises, visual storytelling, and the creation of promotional materials for student-run businesses. The printer will be integrated into project-based learning, allowing students to apply design and marketing principles in a hands-on, real-world context.

b) How will this project meet the needs of your students, classroom, and/or school:
This project addresses the need for professional-quality visual tools that support student creativity, engagement, and communication. Currently, students lack access to resources that allow them to produce impactful marketing materials. A poster-making printer will fill this gap, enabling students to present their ideas with confidence and clarity. It will enhance classroom instruction, support entrepreneurship competitions, and contribute to school-wide events that showcase student innovation. Ultimately, it will help students develop essential business and design skills that are transferable to future academic and career opportunities.

Expected Outcomes

a) What will improve/change for your students because of your project:
With access to a poster-making printer, students will be able to produce high-quality visual materials that enhance their entrepreneurial projects. This will improve their ability to communicate business ideas effectively, boost confidence in presenting to peers and community members, and foster creativity in branding and marketing. Students will gain hands-on experience in visual design, which is a critical skill in both business and modern communication. The printer will also elevate the professionalism of student work, preparing them for real-world business environments and competitions.

b) How will you measure these outcomes:
Outcomes will be measured through student project evaluations, presentation rubrics, and feedback from entrepreneurship showcases and pitch events. We will track improvements in student engagement, the quality of visual materials produced, and the number of students participating in competitions or community presentations. Surveys and reflections will also be used to assess student confidence and skill development in marketing and design.

Purpose of Funding

The grant funds will be used to purchase a poster-making printer for our high school entrepreneurship class. This printer will allow students to create large-format, professional-quality posters for marketing campaigns, product promotions, and business pitch presentations. It directly supports the submitted item request and aligns with our goal of providing students with real-world tools to enhance their entrepreneurial projects.

By integrating this printer into classroom activities and a school-site store, students will gain hands-on experience in visual branding and communication—key components of business success. The printer will also be used for school-wide events, competitions, and showcases, helping students present their ideas with impact and confidence. In addition to classroom projects, students will be able to utilize the printer for school site teacher and admin purchases, which will allow the students to internally fund all future printing product needs.
