Project Description

This project involves creating and implementing a collection of digital speech-language therapy resources tailored to support students with communication needs. Activities will include curating or designing interactive materials (e.g., digital flashcards, language games, articulation exercises, and visual supports).
This project directly supports students with speech and language delays by increasing engagement, consistency, and accessibility of therapy materials. For students, it provides interactive and personalized learning tools that make therapy more effective and enjoyable.

Expected Outcomes

As a result of this project, students receiving speech-language services will show improved engagement, motivation, and progress toward their individual communication goals. Specifically, students are expected to demonstrate gains in key areas such as articulation accuracy, vocabulary use, sentence structure, listening comprehension, and social communication skills. The use of interactive digital resources will also promote greater consistency in practice both in and outside of therapy sessions, leading to faster skill generalization and increased academic participation.
Outcomes will be measured using both formative and informative data collection, data probes, and classroom observation.

Purpose of Funding

Grant funds will be used to purchase a variety of high-quality digital resources and tools that directly support speech-language therapy sessions. Specifically, the funds will be allocated towards digital educational software, digital materials and technology for student use.
These items are intentionally selected to enhance student learning, increase engagement, and streamline the delivery of individualized therapy across various settings. All resources align with students' speech and language goals and support academic progress by improving foundational communication skills.
