Goal(s)

This proposal seeks funding to purchase sensory gadgets and tools for Exceptional Student Education (ESE) students in a high school setting. Many ESE students benefit from sensory supports to regulate emotions, maintain focus, and manage stress in the classroom. Providing these tools will foster a learning environment that supports self-regulation, reduces behavioral disruptions, and improves academic engagement.

Project Description

Rationale
High school ESE students often face sensory processing differences that can impact their ability to remain focused and engaged in class. Without appropriate outlets or tools, these challenges may result in frustration, anxiety, or disengagement. Sensory gadgets provide safe, non-disruptive means for students to regulate their sensory input, maintain attention, and participate more fully in the learning process. These supports are particularly critical for students with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, or other disabilities that affect sensory processing.

Improved focus, attention, and academic performance.

Reduced behavioral incidents related to sensory overload or dysregulation.

Increased time on task and participation in classroom activities.

Greater student independence in managing emotional and sensory needs.
