Project Description

The project will focus on math and learning goals for real-world math problems. Our students will learn how to count money, how to save money, and how to use money for themselves. Each day the students will have opportunities to earn money for responsibilities, being respectful, and completing their school work in a timely manner. Our students will be required to keep track of their own money each day and then have time every Friday to buy an item from our program store.

Expected Outcomes

Our students will improve their mathematician skills as well as change their outlook on money in the real-world. We, as educators, want to teach them the solid foundations as they grow into young adults. The project will be measured by data tracking sheets that show the students and the educators what the students spend money on and how much they save each week.

Purpose of Funding

The items above are going to be utilized by having the students earn their money and learn about budgeting and spending in an appropriate way. Our students will earn money throughout a school week by having high expectations and then using that money earned to buy items that they may want. Our students are learning how to count money, how to save money, and how to use money to build their knowledge as future leaders and budgeting mathematicians.
