I have 4 goals I would like to accomplish.
1. Encourage Positive Behavior – Reinforce the school’s PBIS framework by rewarding students for meeting behavior expectations.
2. Increase Student Engagement – Provide enjoyable and motivating incentives through Fun Friday activities and rewards.
3. Strengthen Classroom Community – Promote teamwork, respect, and responsibility through group-based games and collaborative activities.
4. Support Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) – Integrate activities that promote self-regulation, perseverance, and problem-solving.
School-Wide, Grade-Level, Or Class Events/Programs - Parent Nights, Honor Roll Celebrations, EOY Events, PBIS, LIM, etc.
Our PBIS program uses Class Dojo to track and celebrate positive behavior in real-time. Students earn points for following expectations such as being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. Points can be redeemed for prizes or classroom privileges.
The requested funding will be used to:
1. Purchase small, affordable prizes (Rubix cubes, stickers, games, mini balls, etc) for Class Dojo point redemption.
2. Buy materials for Fun Friday activities (board and cards games as well as things to challenge students mentally).
By implementing this project, we expect to:
1. Increase positive behavior and participation
2. Improve responsibility for bringing charged laptop and school ID to school daily
3. Build School Culture – A more positive and inclusive classroom climate where students feel recognized for their efforts.
The purpose of this funding is to support our school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiative by providing engaging, age-appropriate incentives for 5th-grade students. This funding will allow us to offer tangible rewards for earning Class Dojo points and create enriching Fun Friday activities that motivate students to demonstrate positive behaviors, build social-emotional skills, and foster a supportive classroom environment.
