Technology plays a foundational role in learning, communication, and productivity. However, even basic components like cords and mice, when missing or broken, can significantly hinder progress. This grant will allow us to fill these often-overlooked gaps and ensure that our users have the essential tools they need to succeed. By investing in these small but critical items, we will make a meaningful impact on the everyday experiences of those we serve. In addition, the use of a mobile laptop workstation allows my to maneuver around the class to assist students and be digitally prepared, not 'stuck' behind my desk.
Electronics - Headphones, charging cables, computer mice, etc.
1. Set of computer chargers for the classroom. Students often bring computers back to school uncharged. Not having charged laptops inhibits productivity during class.
2. Class set of mice reduces reliance on laptop trackpads which are difficult for students to use, especially for students with adaptable needs. Mice increase productivity for all.
3. A mobile laptop workstation allows me to move freely around the classroom to support students. I heavily rely on my desktop for lesson plans, attendance, etc. A mobile workstation allows me to bring instructional tools directly to students and circulate more freely.
First, charging cords will ensure 100% reduction in downtime due to uncharged laptops. Second, wired mouse increases efficiency among students and assists students needing adaptive equipment for success. Lastly, the mobile laptop workstation for myself will improve digital task efficiency, creating a dynamic learning and working environment minimizing the need to repeatedly return to my desktop.
To eliminate technical difficulties in the classroom and increase efficiency for myself and the students.
