To provide a CCPS Honors Musicians t-shirt for students, teachers, and clinicians to wear on the night of the concert. Our 17th Annual CCPS Elementary Honors Concert will be held in February 2026.
Many of our students come from Title One schools, so it would be nice to not burden those music teachers and students with the task of funding for their shirts.

Goal(s)

To provide a CCPS Honors Musicians t-shirt for students, teachers, and clinicians to wear on the night of the concert. Our 17th Annual CCPS Elementary Honors Concert will be held in February 2026.
Many of our students come from Title One schools, so it would be nice to not burden those music teachers and students with the task of funding for their shirts.

Project Description

Students work independently and with their local music teacher to learn the repertoire over the course of a few months. In February, they come together on a day to work with a clinician. There will be 210 students in the Honors Chorus. This will be our highest number ever! We added an instrumental group to the Honors event several years ago, and had about 25 students. It has been a big success!

Expected Outcomes

Please note that this request is coming from me, but I am representing all the CCPS schools that are participating in the Honors event. Honors events give our students an opportunity to rehearse and perform with a large group of singers or a group of instrumentalists who have demonstrated advanced skills in the areas of singing and musicianship and to work with a renowned conductor. Having the uniformity of a single style shirt gives the feeling of being part of a team working together towards a common goal.

Purpose of Funding

We work with Marcy Koral at OKKoral Marketing. She gives a very reasonable price of $5.00 per shirt. We will have 250 students and 50 adults wearing the shirts on concert night.
