The goal of this project is to achieve 100% student engagement through interactive and themed room transformations that align with ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies standards.
Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.
Each month, students will participate in engaging lessons designed to capture their attention and keep them fully immersed in learning. I will incorporate room transformations and hands-on activities that align with our ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies standards.
Monthly Highlights Include:
September: STEM team-building challenges and Symbols of Freedom and Citizenship activities
October: Glow-in-the-dark room transformation, spooky STEAM projects, and hands-on science experiments
November: Central idea construction zone transformation and Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade-inspired activities
December: Text feature "surgery" and a Winter Wonderland writing workshop
January: New Year’s goal-setting and reflection activities
February: Minute-to-Win-It challenges and an immersive poetry-themed transformation
March: Basketball Book Madness literacy tournament
April: Gravity investigations and a review carnival
May: Luau-themed room transformation to celebrate and wrap up the year
These monthly experiences will take learning to the next level by combining standards-based instruction with creativity, collaboration, and excitement in the classroom.
These room transformations and lessons will enhance retention of material, create a love of learning, and develop critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in my learners.
Items will be purchased monthly for themed room transformations and activities to promote 100% student engagement. Monthly budget includes supplies for hands-on learning activities and room transformation items.
