School supplies - Markers, paints, paper, crayons, clay, pencils, sharpies, modeling dough, etc.

Project Description

a) Students will brainstorm and design posters that promote safe driving messages. They’ll research facts, come up with catchy slogans, and then use supplies like poster boards, paper, markers, and glue to create their posters. Once finished, we’ll display them around the school to remind everyone to drive safely. I’ve included photos of last year’s posters to show how students’ creativity really shines.
b) This project gives students a hands-on way to learn about and promote road safety. It encourages teamwork, creativity, and community awareness. Plus, having these posters around the school helps reinforce safe driving habits day to day, making our school environment safer for everyone.

Expected Outcomes

a) Students will become more aware of safe driving practices and feel empowered to share important messages. These posters will hang throughout the campus. They’ll also gain confidence in their creative abilities and see how they can impact their peers positively.
I’ll ask students to write a short reflection about what they learned and how they hope their posters will help. I’ll also gather feedback from teachers and students on whether they’ve noticed more conversations about safe driving. Finally, I’ll observe if the posters catch people’s attention and spark discussions, showing the messages are making an impact.
**ALL GROUPS RECORD A 2 MINUTE PSA VIDEO**** (you can only imagine how good these were last year!)

Purpose of Funding

The grant funds will be used to purchase the essential supplies needed for the poster project, including poster boards, paper, markers, and glue. These materials are necessary to create eye-catching and durable posters that will effectively communicate safe driving messages around the school. Using these funds aligns directly with the project plan, allowing students to design and produce their posters, which will help raise awareness and promote responsible driving habits among students and staff. Without these supplies, it would be difficult to carry out the project as planned, and the posters wouldn’t have the visual impact needed to make a difference.
