Goal(s)

The goal of this project is to be able to utilize the online learning platform, BrainPOP Jr., in the classroom to enhance and enrich student understanding and retention across all core subject areas. It is also to increase engagement and participation, especially among struggling or reluctant learners. A subscription to BrainPOP Jr. would enhance instruction to allow new concepts to be introduced through short, engaging videos, differentiate instruction through interactive, student-paced activities, and reinforce lessons with built-in interactive assessments and playful learning games.

Project Description

BrainPOP Jr., an award-winning, student-friendly online educational program designed to support and enrich the core curriculum for students in Kindergarten through Second Grade. BrainPOP Jr. offers a wide range of engaging, age-appropriate animated videos, interactive quizzes, and hands-on extension activities in subject areas including science, reading, writing, math, social studies, health, and the arts. These resources are aligned with academic standards and are specifically designed to promote critical thinking, curiosity, and foundational skills in young learners.

Expected Outcomes

By integrating BrainPOP Jr. into our classroom, I aim to foster a more dynamic, engaging, inclusive, and effective learning environment for all of my second grade learners. By utilizing and incorporating BrainPOP Jr., into my lessons, I wish to promote and increase critical thinking and foundational skills for all of my students in all areas, as well as making learning FUN!

These funds will fully cover a one-year classroom subscription to BrainPOP Jr.
