The purpose of this project is to provide additional resources for my students as we prepare for our nation's 250th birthday in 2026.
Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.
Scholastic is publishing student booklets that focus on the 250th birthday of the United States. These booklets consist of various activities and information about our nation's history, American symbols and more. Throughout the year, these booklets as well as other books, patriotic crafts, and lessons will be used to supplement our first grade social studies curriculum as we learn about Veterans Day, Presidents Day and other patriotic holidays.
My students will have a deeper appreciation and knowledge of our American history, symbols and culture.
Scholastic News Happy Birthday USA booklets are 16 pages and include a variety of nonfiction texts and text features focused on the United States. The students will be able to observe and identify the USA symbols in the Safari Ltd USA tube. The crafts and other activities will be used to further help students celebrate our nation's 250th birthday.
