Goal
My goal is to get our students to the Collier County Public School's STEAM Expo!
What will be done with my students
We will take select fifth graders to CCPS's Expo where they will enjoy the different vendors and STEAM activities. I am the Science Coach at Mike Davis Elementary and Herbert Cambridge Elementary Schools and both schools will participate in this project!
CCPS staff members volunteer their time on that Saturday to host different booths that have STEAM activities for students to participate in. Our students will get the opportunity to complete the activities and enjoy their day at the STEAM Expo.
Benefits to my students
Many of our students don't have the means to get to the STEAM Expo each year.
Our students will get the opportunity to participate in the different STEAM activities while learning about various Science topics.
Budget Narrative
This grant will benefit fifth grade students at Mike Davis Elementary and Herbert Cambridge Elementary Schools. We did this project last year with our fifth graders and our students had the best time. We hope to make this a yearly tradition!
