Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 15

Project Explore Program students received Fitbit Inspire 3 Health & Fitness Trackers and personal water bottles as part of a larger health and wellness initiative. This initiative is aimed at improving the physical well being of students with disabilities by making fitness accessible, inclusive, and fun.

Students wore their Fitbits both during their on-campus work shifts and at home, using them to track steps, monitor their heart rate, and keep an eye on sleep patterns. What started as a health-focused lesson quickly grew into a motivating movement. Friendly competitions emerged among students, with step challenges and wellness goals turning into a source of camaraderie and excitement. Top performers were recognized and rewarded at the end of the program, giving students a tangible incentive to stay active and engaged.
