Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 30

Our Yearbook Club has benefited so much by having our grant funded.  We were able to purchase five cameras that students were able to learn how to use and then got to travel in groups around the school taking pictures of all of the Student Clubs while they were in action.  Students were able to take full control of taking pictures, choosing the best ones, editing and adding to the yearbook pages.  Every single picture that was taken in the attached yearbook pages were taken directly by students with the funded cameras.  Without these cameras, the teachers would have had to be the ones to take the pictures and students wouldn’t have felt like they had a hand in making the yearbook a success.  We are so appreciative of having these and are excited to continue to use them for years to come!

Goal

To be able to purchase five digital cameras for our students who are in Yearbook Club to use to take pictures around they school. 

 

Category

Electronics - Personal computers/tablets/iPads, headphones, charging cables, computer mice, etc. 

 

What will be done with my students

Students will use the cameras to be able to go around campus and during school-wide events. These are pictures that we will use to represent our year in our yearbook. 

 

Benefits to my students

Students in Yearbook Club will be able to take ownership over our yearbook this year. They will have an active role in going around to other clubs and school wide events, take pictures and then help to put those pictures in the yearbook and see it printed at the end of the year.
