Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 2000

Thanks to the Celebrate, Collaborate, Be Informed grant, we did exactly that—and then some—at IHS with our awesome protected bulletin boards!

 

These boards were a hit all year long and served so many purposes. Students took on weekly science challenges (not pictured) for a chance to earn pun-filled certificates signed by their teachers (pictured!). They stayed up-to-date on upcoming events like Bio Boot Camps and other science happenings. Plus, they could track their progress toward IHS score goals after each benchmark checkpoint—because what’s more motivating than seeing your own success grow?

 

We’re incredibly proud of our students and how they engaged with the information and fun these boards brought to life. Thanks again for helping us Celebrate, Collaborate, and Be Informed in such a meaningful (and visible!) way! You really helped turn a drab piece of wood into info-central!

Goal

Display cases allows teachers to place notifications about student work, flyers, events, EOC Boot Camps, and an endless opportunity to relay important and beneficial information for a variety of departments and reasons.

What will be done with my students

Students will be able to stay informed and celebrated throughout the year.  

 

Benefits to my students

Information is frequently lost due to miscommunications or notification inundation with CANVAS, text messages, twitter, etc. Having a central location for displayed work, important events and dates and so much more will allow students to stay informed and prepared!  

 

Budget Narrative

Three display cases will be purchased and then installed to a high traffic hallway allowing students a central location to identify/celebrate student work, events, opportunities and activities!
