Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 470

On behalf of the media center at Shadowlawn Elementary, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of prizes. Your support has made a significant impact on our students and their learning experience.

Thanks to your contribution, we have been able to introduce exciting activities such as spinning the wheel and playing Plinko for students who pass their Accelerated Reader tests. These engaging and fun incentives have greatly motivated our students to read more and strive for academic excellence. The joy and excitement on their faces when they participate in these activities are truly priceless.

Your donation has not only provided tangible rewards but has also fostered a positive and encouraging environment in our media center. Students are now more enthusiastic about reading and are developing a lifelong love for literature. The positive impact of your generosity is evident in their improved reading skills and increased confidence.

Once again, thank you for your support and for making a difference in the lives of our students. We are deeply grateful for your kindness and look forward to sharing more success stories with you in the future.

What will be done with my students

Books in the library will be randomly marked in the computer as Golden Ticket books. Students will check out at the circulation desk where they will find out if their book is a Golden Ticket book or not. If it is then they will receive a Golden Ticket. The student will read the book and pass the Accelerated Reading comprehension quiz. Then they will bring the ticket back to the library with their recorded score. Next they will spin the prize wheel to be able to win something. Students LOVE spinning the wheel!

Benefits to my students

This is a great way to motivate reading and use of the library! The more they check out books the more they will improve their fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
