Goal

I am writing to request funding for the implementation of a unique and innovative program in our classroom. I am seeking support to introduce "Desk Pets" a creative and educational initiative designed to enhance student engagement, responsibility, and positive behavior.  

What will be done with my students

Desk pets are small, inanimate figurines that students can place on their desks. Each desk pet represents a virtual pet character, and students can ear rewards, such as food and friends for their positive behavior throughout the school year.  

Benefits to my students

Desk Pets promote several essential educational goals, including:

1. Responsibility and Accountability: Desk Pets teach students the importance of responsibility as they care for their virtual pets by completing tasks, meeting goals, and ensuring their Desk Pet's well-being.

2. Positive Behavior Reinforcement: Students can earn rewards and recognition for demonstrating positive behavior in the classroom, such as completing assignments, participating in discussions, and treating peers with respect.

3. Goal Setting: Desk Pets encourage students to set and achieve goals, motivating them to excel academically and socially.

4. Engagement and Motivation: The fun and interactive nature of Desk Pets engage students in their learning environment, making the classroom experience more enjoyable and motivating them to participate actively.
