Thank you so much for helping me create a fun spot to learn in my classroom. This amazing rug has helped my students not only learn their letters, but also learn about habitats and fun facts about specific animals. In addition to all of the amazing learning, it has given my students an area where they can have an independent space that is theirs alone. The personal space has made a huge impact on their ability to stay focused on lessons being taught and has cut distractions from others out of the learning process. I am also able to share my rug with other students who come into my room for small group instruction daily. This rug has not only impacted my particular group of students, but also has impacted other students in other classes. Thank you so much! With out your support, we would not have as many learning gains as we have this year.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

I like to get a new rug for my classroom. The rug I have chosen is not only beneficial for a floor learning space, but also is a learning tool.

What will be done with my students

My students will be learning about letters, sounds, habitats, etc. using this interactive rug. It will also give them a nice comfortable sitting space for learning close up.

Benefits to my students

This rug is a double purpose rug. The first purpose that it gives to my students is a comfortable spot to sit while we are doing FUNdations, reading a story, or learning a new skill up close. At this time I have a rug that has been in rotation for 18+ years and it is in need of a replacement. The second purpose for this rug is making learning Science and Language Arts fun! This rug is magical! It can be scanned with an app and used to learn! These colorful and durable classroom rugs are perfect for introducing the alphabet through sight, song, and 3D magic! Each of the 26 animals come alive right this rug with the FREE Rugs alive mobile app. After matching the correct habitat card, kids can walk around the animals and explore them from all sides. This would benefit the kids greatly by making learning fun, which is what learning is all about!
