Goal
To offer Glow Sports/Fitness and expand our ability to engage all students in physical activity.
What will be done with my students
Black lights, glow sticks, rope lights, light up nets/balls/goals and bright jerseys will add a fun dynamic to activities we play in Physical Education.
We will use the black lights and glow equipment to play end of unit games like badminton, volleyball, basketball, nitroball, bowling, Kan Jam, cornhole, mini golf, and more.
We will also use the lights for activities like yoga, fitness days, and our family events at the school.
Benefits to my students
Changing something as simple as the lighting can encourage students who are hesitant about fully participating in physical activity. Glow Sports and Fitness gives that opportunity to all students.
This equipment also gives students a new way to experience being physically active. A lifelong love for activity comes from finding just that ONE thing that you enjoy doing, and the more opportunities and experience we can give our students, the better the chance they find an activity that will keep them moving for a lifetime.
