Goal

The goal of this physical education grant is to provide essential equipment that will enhance student engagement and physical activity levels. By securing funding for modern exercise gear, the grant aims to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that fosters lifelong fitness habits among students. Ultimately, this investment will contribute to improved health outcomes and overall well-being within the school community. 

What will be done with my students

High school physical education equipment serves a variety of High school physical education equipment caters to a range of activities, including both team and individual sports. Team sports like basketball, soccer, and volleyball promote collaboration and communication skills, while individual and dual sports like badminton, pickleball, and tennis help students develop agility, coordination, and sportsmanship. Equipment such as jump ropes, resistance bands, and yoga mats are ideal for cardio workouts, strength training, and flexibility exercises. Additionally, pedometers and heart rate monitors offer opportunities to track progress and encourage students to maintain healthy levels of physical activity. 

Benefits to my students

Physical education equipment in high schools offers a multitude of benefits for students. It promotes active lifestyles, helping to combat sedentary habits and obesity. It fosters teamwork and social skills through team sports, while individual and dual sports build self-confidence and personal responsibility. The equipment also facilitates the development of physical skills such as coordination, balance, and strength, contributing to overall health and well-being. 

Budget Narrative

We appreciate having the opportunity to apply for this grant and we look forward to the opportunity that this provides funding to LELY High School to improve the Physical Fitness of disadvantaged students. This will help Lely achieve that No Child is Left Behind.
