Original Grant Overview
Goal
I want to make our media center more student friendly, especially for our youngest students.
What will be done with my students
Dynamic shelving is a philosophy that encourages librarians to rethink their collections and create accessible, browsable, and independently navigable library experiences.
These baskets will be used to reorganize the library collection and will help to highlight books that my students would like to read. Books in the baskets will be forward facing which will allow students to browse without staring at shelves full of book spines.
Benefits to my students
I am always looking for new ways to engage and excite all readers within our school library.
This organization will make it easier for students to find a book that will interest them.
