Goal

My goal is for to provide a welcoming and successful learning environment for ALL of my incoming students. Each one of my first- grade students have access to their own district-provided laptops, however not all students have access to quality headphones. Being able to shut out distractions and focus on their independent learning is imperative to be able to think and process content clearly. We use headphones daily for i-ready lessons, redbird, as well as during our state progress monitoring test on our BEST standards. A class-level bulk set with extras for incoming students, of great quality, comfortable, and durable headphones for students would help my 1st graders feel comfortable and help ensure a successful, and HAPPY (Have A Positive Productive Year, school theme) year ahead.  

What will be done with my students

Students will be provided with their very own head phones. They will be able to begin with the end in mind and make a plan for a successful year and HAPPY year! 

Benefits to my students

Students will be able to focus clearly on their daily lessons. Distractions will be lessened for students as well as me, their teacher. When students are engaged in their assignments, I am able to focus on individual or small group lessons more effectively.  

Budget Narrative

Buying in bulk allows each student to have a durable set of headphones for only $8.64 a piece. This also allows for incoming students to be provided with their own set of headphones and provides extra for wear and tear.
