Original Grant Overview
Goal
My goal is to have active engagement with the 2023-2024 SSYRA books along with brag tags to show how proud they are to have read it and also passed the comprehension test on the book as well.
What will be done with my students
In the mornings at our morning meetings, we will be doing reading book studies for 15 minute increments, talk about important aspects of the text such as character analysis, plot, and theme.
Benefits to my students
As they are engaged in these stories, they will build classroom community skills and reading comprehension skills on their level. Once they have completed the 15 Sunshine State Readers, there will be an EOY celebration to celebrate them in their success.
