Goal
For students to engage in multisensory math fluency practice with the ability to check their own answers.
What will be done with my students
Students will be able to unroll a yoga mat with the addition or subtraction fact they are working on, then hop from square to square as they solve each equation.
Benefits to my students
Each mat will have a different math fact (ie: +4, -6...). Students may independently choose the mat that corresponds with the fact they are working on. Students will be able to self-check their answers or partner with another student. Using multiple senses appeals to and benefits students of various learning styles and abilities.
Budget Narrative
Covers the cost of 20 mats (10 for addition & 10 for subtraction) and storage bin, including the cost of sales tax.
