Goal

My goal for the students is for them to advance their learning by becoming 100% engaged with hands-on math materials and stations. 

What will be done with my students

Students will work together, as well as individually, to use math manipulatives and games. Such math content as volume, multiplication and division, geometry, fractions, decimals and place value will be practiced daily through various activities. The students will be able to review skills and enhance their knowledge of the 5th grade math standards through highly engaging tasks.  

Benefits to my students

These materials will benefit my students because they focus and follow different 4th grade math standards. Students will ask questions, make calculations, use formulas, categorize, gain multiplication and division fluency and participate in problems that encourage critical thinking and problem solving, and help to create real world connections. Students are able to self check on these materials, which allows for immediate feedback with regards to accuracy and errors.  

Budget Narrative

This budget includes 6 different game kits with each focusing on a different 5th grade math standard, a volume discovery can, a set of 3-D geometric shapes, self checking multiplication and division memorization machines, a set of multiplication power cards and a set of division power cards along with 4 power pans that give instant feedback. The budget is $409.00 for everything with tax included. Shipping is free.
