Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 200

Blanks are materials needed to engrave on.  Thanks to this grant we were able to get several blanks to have the students learn and engrave on.  In turn they market them and sell them.  They have learned a lot this year, from basic fonts, to combining fonts , and then adding images.   These blanks are then karketing and sold at school, to other schools and community partners, and even at the district STEAM Expo.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

As we continue with entrepreneurship in fifth grade, I want to instilll into my tudents how to use 21st century skills such collaborating to start a company, creating or repurposing something to create a prodcut, learn to market it, and then sell it.

What will be done with my students

Students will work in teams to form a company, and then decide on a product. They will work on solving a problem, reusing/recyling a material that they can market and then sell. They will reflect on the process and determine their success (or lack of) at the end of the course. In orider to make this happen they will need materials to create their products.

Benefits to my students

Students will need to collaborate in order to make their company a success. They will learn how to use the Glowfroge, from coming up with an idea (product), design the product in the program, and then create it and market it.
