Goal

My goal is to provide an opportunity for my students to have access to chosen Sunshine State Junior books. This will help foster a love of independent reading with my 2nd grade students.  

 

What will be done with my students

My students will have a challenge to read all 15 of the Sunshine State Junior books, to get them excited about the school wide challenge in the intermediate grades. I will motivate them through prizes throughout the challenge.  

 

Benefits to my students

My students will have the opportunity to read all of the recommended Sunshine State Junior Books for grades K-2. This will prepare them for the opportunity to continue this tradition of reading all sunshine state book each year.  

 

Budget Narrative

My budget will allow me to buy all 15 SSYRA Jr. books for my students to have access to in the classroom, as well as prizes for my classroom challenge.
