Original Grant Overview
Goal
The goal is to weekly allow the top 5 students in each of my 6 classes sit in the front of the class in the bean bags as a reward for doing homework, classwork, and following our school motto ROAR. Which stands for Respectful, Organized, Accomplished, and Responsible!
What will be done with my students
Each week the students will compete to get their place in one of the 5 bean bags that will be located in the front of the classroom. This will help them to achieve higher goals. It does not mean that the top 5 percentages in each class get the bean bag. They must ROAR, be respectful, organized, accomplished, and responsible. This is our school motto. They must also turn in their homework every day as this is an initiative at our school. Following the rules in class will also help them to achieve getting into a bean bag! Having this as a PBS reward will also help drive my instruction in the classroom.
Benefits to my students
This creates a competition of good behavior, test scores, and homework in my classroom. It would be a PBS reward that they can look forward to every week in the classroom. This will drive instruction to make students want to be one of the "Bean Bag BEST ROAR's". Students love to sit in new places and be recognized for the accomplishments. This will encourage our students at Manatee Middle School to ROAR!

I have included the sales tax for these as well. It is 5 black bean bags that will be placed in the front of the classroom.
