Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 18

Students loved being able to visibly "show-off" their academic and leadership accomplishments by wearing their brag tag necklaces.  Receiving these colorful and fun brag-tags motivated them to reach thier learning goals.  They were able to recieve them for meeting their individual  reading, math and  leadership goals throughout the school year. Brag Tags could be used for a variety of goals and could be differentiated to meet the goals of students of all levels.  Students are able to display them in the classroom when they were not wearing them, and will be able to take them home and keep them at the end of the school year.  This was a fun and motivating addition to our classroom learning activities.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

My goal is to allow students to earn individual 'brag tags' to show and display all of their different academic, personal and leadership goals and accomplishments they have achieved. This encourages and rewards positive behavior, leadership skills, and healthy habits. 

 

What will be done with my students

Students will be given multiple opportunities during the course of the school year to earn many different "brag tags" when students meet different academic goals and personal accomplishments like acts of kindness, growth mindset, positive behavior, and good citizenship. 

 

Benefits to my students

Students will feel proud to show off their accomplishments from many different areas (academic & positive behavior & citizenship), and encourage them to continue to strive to meet goals in all areas.

funds will be used to purchase bulk packages of brag tags and chain necklaces as well as magnetic hooks to display in classroom.
