Impact to My Classroom

The students were able to come prepared for class dressed professionally in their hospital scrubs. It has promoted the program well among the school and has garnered interest in the program for future health care professioal students. The student said that they feel more confident in their apperence at competitions, and ready for real world experiences.

We were lucky enough to have gotten a small school grant to get tops for the some of the students, with the intention that they would have to go purchase bottoms on their own, or where any black bottoms with the tops. This extra amazing grant that we were offered allowed for more students to get srucbs for class, but it also aided us to get enough extra bottoms for the students that were not able to get them through the school grant.

The students were very excited to recieve their scrubs and be able to enjoy their lab activities full with the proper uniform.

Original Grant Overview

Goal(s)

To bring down if not completely cover the out of pocket cost to my Health Science Academy students for professional attire.

Project Description

Students will be able to wear their scrubs on field trips, potential places of employment, during classroom lab activities, at campus events and promote health careers and the Health Science Academy throughout the school. Students will be able to keep these scrubs throughout their 4 years of the academy program.

Expected Outcomes

Students will be able to promote what they are learning in the Health Science academy. They will be able to learn about professional attire in the work place of their future career. It will also help to build community with other students in the academy as well as those that are similar minded and interested in joining the Health Science Academy in the future. Students will also be able to wear their scrubs while working at internship locations.
