Original Grant Overview

Goal

Are you tired of paper and pencils when you first enter the classroom? We are too! Our kids need to explore and play! Our Mighty Mornings will give our students the opportunity to explore with their peers and set their brains and body's up for success. Many students' genius start with exploration, making & creating with manipulative. Students need more opportunities throughout the day to learn in a way that engages their whole brains.

What will be done with my students

When our students enter our classroom, they will have a Mighty Morning Bin to work with at their table. They will use communication skills and collaborating tactics to build, create, and make. They will also have opportunities to complete STEM building challenges with their manipulatives.

Benefits to my students

Students will be able to ease into their day and experience a morning routine that will benefit their whole learning: social, emotional, and academically.

Budget Narrative

Our budget is for purchasing manipulatives for students to use during their mighty morning block. Each manipulative will have a specific task and challenge for students to complete.
